Positive Covid Quarantine Process to Return to School (Please update the school through the process):

If your student tests positive:

They must isolate for 5 days. Day 1 is first day after symptom onset or positive test.

IF on Day 5 or later, they receive a NEGATIVE rapid test, AND:

--Have no fever

--Symptoms are improving

--Agree to wear a tight-fitting mask--even outside--on day 6-10,

THEN student may return to school on day 6. Please send evidence of negative test (picture or paperwork) to attendance or nurse. Student will have been marked as absent for 10 days and we need to verify negative test and adjust attendance.

IF 2nd test is POSITIVE, student must stay home until 10 days from original symptom/test date (5 more days) and return to school on 11th day, no further testing required.

NO further testing required to return to school, if at home for 10 days.

Exposure to Covid positive person off campus:

If student is fully vaccinated (2 weeks past 2nd shot), no quarantine required, testing strongly recommended 72 hours after exposure and if symptoms develop.

If student not fully vaccinated, must stay home 7 days since last contact with positive person with Day 1 being the day after exposure, return on 8th day.

*If positive case is in the home, student quarantine does not begin until the last day the positive person is considered contagious.

If student has symptom, student must stay home until:

Symptoms are improving AND student is fever free for 24hrs

AND one of the following:

  1. Between symptom onset and Day 4 a negative PCR test is presented (Return immediately)
  2. On or after Day 5 a negative rapid antigen test is presented (Return on Day 6)
  3. 10 days of isolation is completed (return on Day 11)
