The 5th Grade Committee is comprised of Gage 5th grade parents and is under the PTA umbrella. Together they work to create an amazing 5th grade experience including field trips and end of the year activities! If you are interested in chairing or volunteering to be on your student's 5th Grade team, don't hesitate to reach out the [email protected]. Also, keep your eyes out for information that will be sent home throughout the year keeping you updated.
Below is information from the 2021-22 school year to give you an idea why your help is so necessary!
Below are the 5th Grade events & extras with their estimated costs:
- End-of-Year Party/Picnic for all 5th Graders = $1500
- Yearbooks for all 5th Graders (if you already purchased a yearbook, see below*)- the funds raised by the 5th Grade Committee buys each 5th grader a yearbook = $1880
- Scheduled Field Trip to BizTown = PTA pays for all of this - no need to raise funds
- 5th Grade Class t-shirts & middle school survival gifts to all 5th Graders = $1800
- 5th Grade Gift to school with commemorative plaque w/ each 5th grader's name listed = $1500
- Hamilton Movie Night - $200
How can you help?????(by signing up, you are not committing to lead it, you are just offering to help w/ some of the components):
- Yearbook: We need help with the management of the 5th Grade section of the Yearbook. This can be done by working closely w/ each classroom's CCLs (room parents) to obtain candid and/or baby photos. The yearbook app has templates to easily load the pages.
- Dine-out event(s) (Dates TBD): Help secure & promote
- Day of Community Service (Date TBD): Help w/ donations, t-shirts, plaque
- End of Year Party/Picnic (Date TBD) - coordination of this party and t-shirt printing.
- Valentine's Day Grams (2/2-2/14/22) - table set up, selling on site, printing, prepping for distribution, etc.
